Through My Eyes.
"Our fingerprints never fade from the lives we touch."

I truly believe pictures are worth a thousand words. One day I plan on being a photo journalist. Photography is where my love's at. If my pictures make a difference in at least one person's life, that's when I know my dream is complete. Here are some inspiring pieces I find as I "tumble" around here. Oh, and my name is Emily.
I bet it never ever occurred to you that I can’t say hello to you and risk another goodbye. – I Almost Do - innfluenced (via perfect)
People think they know you. They think they know how you’re handling a situation. But the truth is no one knows. No one knows what happens after you leave them, when you’re lying in bed or sitting over your breakfast alone and all you want to do is cry or scream. They don’t know what’s going on inside your head—the mind-numbing cocktail of anger and sadness and guilt. This isn’t their fault. They just don’t know. And so they pretend and they say you’re doing great when you’re really not. And this makes everyone feel better. Everybody but you. – William H. Woodwell Jr. (via fawun)
Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction. – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince (via larmoyante)
I look for you in everyone. – Six Word Story #16 by absentions (via spuandi)
I suppose a fire that burns that bright is not meant to last. – Veronica Roth, Allegiant (via ihavetofart)
The worst thing about growing up
is realizing that you can’t save anyone.
They are on a ship hit by an iceberg
and you are on the coast.
All you can do is love them from afar
and then you’re forced to watch them either
sink or float.
That is why I bury my hurt
so deep so that
you will never find it.
You already are weighed down by so much,
and the odds are already stacked
up against you.
I don’t need to be the heavy in your life.
Tina TranWe are both on a sinking ship (via absentions)
I wish there was someone I could have written to after that, someone I could have written to explain how awful it was to have someone touch you, then look at you properly and change his mind. – Helen Oyeyemi (via larmoyante)
Some days you will feel sad without knowing why. Like you lost something very precious but forgot what it was, or like you miss someone you never met. – (via forbide)
Maybe I shouldn’t have put it in words. – Anne Sexton, from The Interrogation Of The Man Of Many Hearts (via violentwavesofemotion)

I am choosing
not to suffer uselessly
and not to use her

I choose to love this time
for once

with all my intelligence.

– Adrienne Rich, from Splittings (via violentwavesofemotion)
i do not say ‘good-bye.’ i believe that’s one of the bullshittiest words ever invented. it’s not like you’re given the choice to say ‘bad-bye’ or ‘awful-bye’ or ‘couldn’t-care-less-about-you-bye.’ every time you leave, it’s supposed to be a good one. well, i don’t believe in that. i believe against that. – David Levithan, Will Grayson, Will Grayson (via charmingbookquotes)
I will not settle

for bits and pieces of you.

I want all of you.
– (via petrichour)
