Through My Eyes.
"Our fingerprints never fade from the lives we touch."

I truly believe pictures are worth a thousand words. One day I plan on being a photo journalist. Photography is where my love's at. If my pictures make a difference in at least one person's life, that's when I know my dream is complete. Here are some inspiring pieces I find as I "tumble" around here. Oh, and my name is Emily.
Oh, the things we invent when we are scared
and want to be rescued.

We met, we said goodbye.
I wrote thousands of lines.

Not one told me.

"It’s so horrible to see your own confusion and understand it."

I suppose she only wanted what she could not have. Well, people were that way. To hell with people. Ernest Hemingway, from The Sun Also Rises (via violentwavesofemotion)
It is awfully easy to be hard-boiled about everything in the daytime, but at night it is another thing. Ernest Hemingway, from The Sun Also Rises (via violentwavesofemotion)
Write to me in spite of my silence. Sometimes it seems I no longer have anything to say to anyone except to you and in everything I intend to do, I would be at quite a loss if I could not turn to you. Albert Camus, from a letter to Jean Grenier (via violentwavesofemotion)
I know you’re not here, I can see it in your eyes when we talk. Where ever you are, come back soon. – Iain Thomas, from I Wrote This For You  (via violentwavesofemotion)
I forgive you. However you disgusted me, and I disgusted you. I can’t love you. But I can forgive you. – Joyce Carol Oates, from The Falls (via violentwavesofemotion)
Do you realize I hate you? And how foolish I find your insipid smiles…and your idiotic flirtatiousness. How have I managed to tolerate you for so long and not say anything? I know of what you’re made with your empty caresses and your false promises. Can you conceive how anybody can live with so much hate…as has been my burden? Cries And Whispers (1972) dir. by Ingmar Bergman (via violentwavesofemotion)
This is my skin. It keeps out the rain and words I’d rather not hear like “I’m tired” or “I’m fine” or “We need to talk.”

This is my skin and it’s thick. This is not your skin. Yet you are still under it.

I either eat too much or starve myself. Sleep for 14 hours or have insomniac nights. Fall in love very hard or hate passionately. I don’t know what grey is. I never did. – (via hazelhirao)
Time has a funny way of collapsing when you go back to a place you once loved. You find yourself thinking, I was kissed in that building, I climbed up that tree. Ann Patchett (via sickur)
If people want to let you go, just let them do it. They may not understand who you are. So don’t play around with fire; don’t give them their cake and let them eat it too. Here is your rule of thumb: they either commit to you or get none of you. – Joey Furjanic, The Heartbreak Hotel: How Long Will You Stay? (via larmoyante)
I bet it never ever occurred to you that I can’t say hello to you and risk another goodbye. – I Almost Do - innfluenced (via perfect)
